Comments
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form together with the visitor IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service. After approval of your comment, your profile picture may be visible publicly in the context of that comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data such as EXIF GPS. Visitors may be able to download and extract that location data from uploaded images.
Cookies
If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for convenience.
Login and screen preference cookies may also be stored when you access the login page or sign in to your account.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional browser cookie may be saved with the article ID and will expire after one day.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this site may include embedded content such as videos, images, or articles. Embedded content from other websites behaves the same way as if the visitor had visited the other website directly.
Who we share your data with
If you request a password reset, your IP address may be included in the reset email.
How long we retain your data

For users who register on the website, personal information provided in the user profile is also stored. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time except for changing their username. Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request an exported file of the personal data we hold about you.
You can also request that we erase personal data we hold about you, except for any data we are required to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Where your data is sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
